The paths we travel for Love….

For the most part the road we travel on while searching for Love is a long, and difficult one.

Many times when we think that everything is lined up perfectly, and finally we’ll have our ” Happily Ever After “, that’s when Life throws obstacles in our path. It’s as if Life itself is sticking it’s tongue out at us to say, ” Ha ! Ha ! I fixed you ! You’re not going to have the perfect happiness you thought was within your reach ! ” Life is cold and cruel many times, but somehow we have to pick ourselves up, and still move on.

It’s the nature of things that anything we truly want is never completely easy to accomplish.

What we must remind ourselves always is that no matter what we have to go through to reach our goal, the target we’re reaching for is worth the struggles.

One issue – among many – that I can’t quite wrap my thoughts around is why so many in our society believe it’s ” bad “, or a sure sign of ” dysfunction “, if you believe in Love !

If you don’t give up on Love, then you’re a Love Addict,

or you have some other form of mental disorder !

I believe that thinking that way is a sure sign of disorder.

Why be so cold hearted, and shallow, that you can’t bring yourself to believe that it’s worth it to hold onto Love ? That way of thinking to me I feel is a sad sign of how cold, and heartless our society has become. Too many of us have lost all faith in simple concepts such as kindness, caring, generosity of spirit, and compassion. It’s so sad the way those concepts are looked at now as signs of weakness many times, instead of being daily goals for how all of us should live our lives.

If caring and loving others is sign of weakness, then go right ahead and consider me very weak !

I’d rather be weak by that definition, than a cold-hearted empty shell of a person.

Besides, it’s my heart, and my life, and no one else’s concern what I do with them !

It’s funny to me how too many in today’s society firmly believe that you should care what others think about you. That’s ridiculous ! What you do with your own life is your business, and not theirs, so they have no say so in it. Just because they believe they have the right – either by family association, possibly a friend, or even a professional in any field; none of that makes their belief true.

What you do with your heart, and your life, is between you and God, and no one else.

This simple fact is something we forget too often, but should try hard to remember.

Follow your heart, and what it tells you.

Don’t listen to the naysayers ! They are likely jealous that you have a much more caring heart, and soul than them. They need to turn their focus inward to their own lives, and remember that no one is perfect. They forget that they have no room to criticize your ways, because chances are their own life needs a lot of attention. No matter what they believe, they are not perfect.

Bottom line to all of this is simple.

If you are not breaking any laws, and you’re not physically hurting yourself, or others, then no one has any right to criticize you, judge you, or attempt to tell you how you should love and live your life.

Advice is a terrific thing ONLY when it is actually requested.

Unsolicited advice is like butts… lol

Everyone has one, but that doesn’t mean you want them to stick theirs in your face ! lol
